Complaints and Appeals

Things may not go to plan. Here’s how we make it right.

Raising a Concern

Most issues are resolved quickly by speaking directly with a trainer or our Student Services office. For a formal complaint or appeal — including about an assessment result — you can lodge it directly to our Student Services office.

  • We acknowledge every complaint or appeal within 2 business days
  • We aim to resolve it within 20 business days
  • You can bring a support person to any meeting

Raising a complaint will not affect your assessment outcomes or your enrolment. Students will not suffer any disadvantage, penalty, or change to enrolment because they have made a complaint or appeal.

If you’re not Satisfied

You can request an independent review by a suitably qualified person outside FST, at no cost. You can also contact the National Training Complaints Hotline at any time — a free, national service for reporting concerns about vocational education and training providers.
