Course Overview

Combined CCTV and Alarm Installation provides practical training in the installation, configuration and maintenance of electronic security systems. The course brings together skills for working with video surveillance systems and alarm equipment across residential, commercial and industrial environments.

Participants develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to select suitable materials, tools and equipment, install system components, complete cable terminations and configure systems to meet specified requirements. Training also covers routine servicing, fault identification and adjustments to help maintain system operation.

The course is suited to workers undertaking routine technical security tasks who have basic skills and knowledge and may work under the guidance of experienced personnel. Safe work practices and relevant industry requirements are incorporated throughout the training.
