Work on and resolve recurrent network faults (Skill 5) develops the practical skills required to investigate recurring faults within telecommunications networks. The training focuses on using a structured approach to identify the source of a fault, assess network performance and determine suitable corrective actions.
Participants develop the knowledge and techniques needed to prepare for fault-finding work, carry out testing and investigation activities, and assess information gathered during the process. The course is relevant to telecommunications cablers and technicians involved in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
The training also emphasises safe working practices and accurate reporting. Learners are required to work methodically, follow applicable safety procedures and document identified faults and the solutions applied.
On successful completion of the required training and assessment, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for ICTTEN313 – Work on and resolve recurrent network faults.
